Mercks scores little Victory in Vioxx lawsuit case
U.S. federal Judge has Judge Eldon Fallon ruled there will be no single class action lawsuit against Merck’s Vioxx. This decision is likely to be a small victory for pharmaceutical giant Merck. Merck has insisted it would contest each of the product liability suits. This decision would create the possibility that thousand of the lawsuits be grouped in a serie of class action. Merck is facing thousand of lawsuits from users of its Vioxx drug which claim they could have been advised of the dagers related to the use of this painkiller.
